A Fishy Tail

Life is rotten - at least that’s what Micky thinks and he knows! He’s the youngest in the family; always has to go to bed first and can never do anything right. His brother thinks he’s a worm and his sister says he should carry a health warning.
The family go to live on an island surrounded by sun and blue seas. There Micky is positive everything will be different but he quickly discovers that it's just like being in England – he's still too little to do things with his brother and sister, and he can't even swim. Fed up, Micky decides to run away.

Fortunately help is at hand, when an old fisherman offers to teach Micky to swim. Except there’s something rather curious about this particular fisherman; he wears a seaweed shawl and his boat appears to have legs. When Micky finds himself

Fish
 

turned into a fish, the words going to school develop a whole new meaning as Micky makes friend with the creatures of the reef.
When a shark menaces a young diver, it is Micky and his new friends who set out to rescue him, earning Micky the long-for friendship and admiration of his brother.

‘A Fishy Tail’ is written for children from six years of age, many of whom will enjoy having the story read to them.
